Danielle Peers: Video is the most recent medium through which Danielle has tackled social justice issues relating to gender, sexuality and ability. Danielle is a public speaker, and an active volunteer in her arts, disability sports, and activist communities. She is working on her Ph.D.at the University of Alberta in the critical study of disability sport. In her past career, Danielle was a world champion and Paralympic medalist in the sport of wheelchair basketball. |

Melisa Brittain: In 2006, Melisa finished her Ph.D. in English and Film studies, and started to put her theories and ideas into practice within the arts. In 2007, she started performing with the Alberta Beef Drag King Troupe, and in that same year, began filming a video to document the troupe, their politics, and their impact on Edmonton queer communities. Melisa currently teaches courses on gender, sexuality and race at the University of Alberta, in the department of English and Film Studies. |
